University of West Georgia:

Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Speech-Language Pathology

Master of Education in Speech-Language Pathology

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is KaLeigh Woodring, and I will be serving as the Speech-Language Pathologist at Belwood Elementary, Community Pre-K, and Ashworth Middle School. I am thrilled to be a member of the BES/AMS faculty! In addition, I have other responsibilities which include providing support county-wide as Co-Lead Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and a member of the Assistive Technology Committee for Gordon County Schools. I have worked in the Gordon County School System for the past three years.

I began my college education at North Georgia College and State University (NGCSU) in Dahlonega, GA. After a few years at NGCSU, I transferred to the University of West Georgia to pursue a degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in Speech-Language Pathology and a Master of Education degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of West Georgia. I am a member of the American Speech–Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech–Language Pathology. I also hold a Georgia teaching certificate. This is my third year as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. My education has prepared me to be deemed "highly qualified" as a Speech-Language Pathologist according to No Child Left Behind standards.

On a personal note, I am from Gordon County, so I am glad to be back home doing what I love. I am married to Lee Woodring. We have two loving rescue dogs, Abbey and Jagger.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time during the year with questions or concerns. Email is generally the quickest way to contact me during the school day.

Thank you for allowing me to take this time to introduce myself. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
